Degradation of Environment

Degradation of Environment

Ordinary thermal pollution does not have a bad effect on the environment. Various natural processes like plants, water, etc. are always in action to maintain the balance of the environment. If thermal pollution is too great, the regional climate can be adversely affected. Climate change can also affect the entire system of agricultural production.

When pollution is added to the environment beyond a certain limit, it is known as environmental degradation.

In such an environment, not only the health of living bodies, but also plants is damaged they are attacked harmful gases cause eye, nose, ear and throat diseases to worsen.

Steps to Minimize Environmental Degradation

The following steps can be helpful to minimize heat pollution.

1. Forests play a major role in minimizing thermal pollution. Plants imbibe carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and exclude oxygen. This helps maintain balance environment. But the growing population started deforestation for their energy needs. This deprives human beings of God's great blessing. That is needed increase afforestation so that the balance of the environment is not disturbed.

2. The eligibility of vehicles driving on land should be respected. Shouldn't have vehicles make smoke. especially motorcycle rickshaws, produce too much pollution in cities. A better public transport system can reduce pollution to a great extent. If comfortable buses are readily available for public transport, many people will stop driving their own cars and motorbikes. This will reduce pollution and save the nation money. Pollution will be too minimized if trains must run on electricity instead of fossil fuels. The electric train network should promote in our country.

3. Industries consume almost 20% of energy resources. In addition to heat, the poisonous gases emitted by them also cause pollution. This requires appropriate processing.

4. Those energy sources that produce less pollution should be encouraged, e.g electric power, solar power, wind power, tidal power.

5. Excessive population growth is also one of the reasons for the increase in pollution. As population, the need for energy grows at the same rate. More energy use means more pollution. That suggests population planning is very important.

6. People should be cautious not to burn solid waste and tires etc. in public places.
